A series of four workshops for budding storytellers:  


Sundays 3:30 to 5:30, Feb. 26, Mar 12, 19, 26.
The Poetry Center,  25th and R St.


Learn to find, shape, practice, and tell your story, with an optional public telling at the Avid Reader on Broadway in spring of 2017.  Write your story as a series of scenes, and storyboard your material.  Find your performance voice, and practice bringing stories to life for a live audience,

Mary McGrath has told stories all over the world, and has worked as artistic director for storytelling fundraisers for UNICEF and Project Heifer.  She produces a monthly 'storytelling- from -life' series at the Avid Reader, and is a story coach for seniors shaping their life stories for memoir DVDs.  She taught "The Art of Storytelling' at Sacto City College for 12 years and is a fan of Public Radio's "This American Life"
